ABRSM 2021 Practical Exams update

Practical exams with the presence of the examiner were cancelled in the middle of January 2021, due do continuing covid situation and uncertainty about travels, hotels and sanitation.
 
The exams will be organised in on-line format, as Performance Grades. Please refer to general information available at https://pl.abrsm.org/en/our-exams/performancegrades/
Performance Grades are going to be available from June, however I am working on obtaining final details about registration procedure and other practicalities.
 
The exam Performance Grade requires a recording of four music pieces and uploading it to the ABRSM’s website (you also need to show your ID and follow certain instructions - please refer to the ABRSM’s website).
The session will be open to us (i.e. the possibility of registering and uploading recordings at the same time) in June. Recordings can be made in advance, at any time. Pieces from the current syllabus should be recorded, the choice of the fourth song is completely free.
 
​Therefore, such parts of the practical exam as: aural tests, sigh reading / singing, scales are not actual. Only four pieces should be recorded. Grades remain the same. The exams have received the same accreditations and points from different institutions. Ie. e.g. previous Practical Grade 5 = Performance Grade 5.
